Trick or Treat

So, nothing is more cute than watching my little catepillar walk down the street holding her daddy's hand as she goes off to trick or treat. It was so cute, with her little catepillar legs and head bobbing in the street light. Hannah loved trick or treating. She did it for more than an hour. She would say "trick or treat" each time a door opened. And when people asked what she was, she would say "a catepillar costume". I have to say this was the best halloween ever for a proud mom and dad.

Fall is finally coming

So, it is finally getting cooler here. The rest of the week is in the high 60's to low 70s and the leaves are turing colors. Yipee! I was even able to light my Yankee Candle, since the evenings are now cool. So, I thought I would post this photo I took - to get ready for fall! Finally!

Mormon Idol

So, this weekend we had our primary quarterly activity combined with our ward halloween party. Here is a picture of the sign I created for the evening. What a project, the thing was huge. And it took awhile to draw and paint the whole thing, but it worked out pretty well. Just wanted to post it for fun!

The Great Pumpkin Patch

Even though it was 83 degrees (not your typical fall day), We headed to our local pumpkin patch. Hannah has been watching Dora's Halloween which taught her about pumpkin patches. So, every time she sees a pumpkin, she says let's go to the pumpkin patch... so we finally did. She didn't care to much about the pumpkins, but loved the bounce house of course. Then we took a walk through the corn maze and about half way through she wanted to be carried the rest of the way. There were also a bunch of bales of hay that she loved crawling and climbing all over. On our way out, we bought a baby pumpkin that was perfect for her, she loves her pumpkin and has been seen cuddling it and telling it "I love you pumpkin".

This pumpkin patch trip was also another excuse for mom to take pictures. There were so many cute ones, it was hard for me to choose only a few to post, so I chose these four... Hope you enjoy. Also, Hannah dressed in her tights was my attempt to keep her cool, but still have it look like it was a crisp, cool fall day (wishful thinking).

The Catepillar

Here is Hannh excited about her halloween costume. She has two costumes, but it seems that the catepillar has won over the fairy. Our neighbor gave me the catepillar costume and Hannah loves to dress up in it. The funniest thing is that every time Hannah watches this video, she laughs hysterically. I should probably video tape that too. At the end of the video, Hannah actually fell down and started to cry, because she hit the TV stand pretty hard...but it was good footage (up until that point.)

Ella's debut

Here are some of the ultrasound pics of Ella Jane. The nurse was nice enough to give us about 8 pictures. But these are the best. The first one is proof that she is a girl (See if you can figure it out) and the second one is her profile (Cute little thing). I have to say she is a kicker (more so than Hannah I think). I think she started kicking around 15 weeks and in the last 3, hasn't stopped.

Kitties are back

So, it seems the kitties didn't go far. The mom has always remained and now 3 of the 5 kittens are back. I am not quite sure why they remain in our backyard, but they like it here and call it home. So, here is a picture of the original cat family. Today Hannah kept telling the kittens to come back. "Come back' "Come back" It looks like our daily ritual of watching the kitties will continue.

September Memory Card

So, I am taking a step back and posting from September. I have decided to do this memory cards each month (as kind of a mini baby book.) At some point I will laminate them or bind them up into a mini baby book that will highlight important things that have happened each month. We will see how well this works, but I figure it will help me better capture moments in here life... since I remember to write in her baby book about every 6 months.

So, here is the only for September 2006. It reads:

You had your first visit to the Emergency Room. You hit the back of your head on our brick fireplace and there was a lot of blood. We thought you were going to have to have stitches, but luckily the doctor said you were fine. Your favorite shows are Diego, Dora, Wonderpets and Backyardigans. You love to sing and every since we visited Nana in Denmark you have been singing all the songs she taught you. You also love to sing “Book of Mormon Stories and I am a Child of God” You are still as cute as ever. It only get better each month!

Day at the Carnival

We decided to hit the neighborhood elementary school fall carnival, even though we don't have any children that attend yet. But Hannah had so much fun playing in the bounce houses, we couldn't resist or get her to leave. So, loved climbing through the maze and up the step ladder and of course, down the slide. The best part is that I didn't have to worry about her getting hurt - it was completely child-proof. I think we need to invest in one of these in our own backyard.
