I have done a lot of sharing these days. Things I find that are just plain cool and need to be passed along. Well, here is another one. I absolutely love this idea. How fun and cute to help preserve that big moment in every kids life (at least the first time).
But the best part, is you could make something similar on all your own. (Especially all you scrapbookers out there!) I think I plan on creating something similar for the first tooth each child losses. 
I said I would have to exchange a few pink things for blue, but it will still be very much a part of my life. Which is why I had to share some eye candy. How pretty is this pink office space. Someday 20 years from now, I will have a completely coordinated space of my own (no toys, mismatched items, etc). But for now, I will just ohh and ahh over others perfect spaces.
Let's start here.
We just found out that we are evening the playing field in our family. We are having a boy and we couldn't be more thrilled. Chris especially (to have a son). I guess it is time for me to start buying less princess and pink and more trucks and blue. I have to admit, I am a bit nervous about being a mom to a boy, now that I have had so much experience being a mom to girls, but I am up for the challenge and can't wait.
Who doesn't love a rainbow? And what kid wouldn't think this is the coolest thing ever? I found this idea on a cooking blog and was amazed. It is so fun and out of the ordinary. I am thinking I might do it for my daughter's birthday coming up (a great excuse). And it isn't even that hard to do. Check it out. 
I am sure that most of you in the blog world have heard about Nie Nie. If you don't know her story, click here to read more. In a nutshell, she and her husband were in a plane accident in August and although they survived, she was burned over 80% of her body and he 30%.
Having a hand in the blog world, I am sure you also saw the hundreds of fundraising efforts that took place and still take place in their behalf and for their 4 children.
Well, Nie Nie is back writing on her blog (start reading January 16th and scroll up) and can I say... I am more then absolutely amazed with her. Many people loved her blog and realistic, but beautiful take on motherhood, wifehood and well, life. I never really read her before, but I have to say, I am hooked on her now.
What a shining example of womanhood. A woman that has been dealt lemons (and not just a bushel, but a truckload) and each and everyday makes lemonade with them. She has an extraordinary outlook on life even still. She is inspiring to me! I would hope and pray that if something horrific and life changing happened to me, that I wouldn't wallow in self-pity, but accept the difficulties and still love life and all those around me.
Honestly, what a woman! In every sense of the word.
Now that Christmas has been over for a whole month, it is time to start thinking about Valentine's Day. And how cute are these guys to help you get in the mood for love. I love them. I am going to buy them, just to have around for that special occasion.
Someday we hope to have a piano in our home and oh, my goodness wouldn't this be the one. I am in love with this Steinway and Sons piano and it is affordable ($2500). But the catch is that is doesn't work and to get it to work would require it being sent to Steinway themselves to be restored.
But seriously, if the economy wasn't as crappy as it is and we didn't own two homes, I would be tempted to make the investment... come on...it is beautiful!
No, this isn't a CNN picture of the president being inaugurated. It is Legoland's depiction of the day. Can you believe that what you are looking at is all legos! Unbelievable. If you have never been to Legoland, it is worth going to just to see the massive lego structures they build.

I am thrilled that so many people want copies of my stuff... honestly thrilled and so glad I can help others out. But I am having a hard time keeping track of who I have sent lessons and PoS to, that I am completely at a lose. It is hard to figure out from the comments sections (days or weeks after I have posted), what I have done.
So, here is a way each of you can help me out.
a) you can either go to SugarDoodle to print out the Plan of Salvation clipart (it is found here).
b) or you can use the new email link I have on the side of my blog under My Stuff. It is in bold. I will be happy to email you the PoS or any YW lesson information.
This way I will be able to keep track of who I have sent emails to and who I haven't. I just don't want to miss anyone and have you think I ignored you or don't care that you contacted me.

I have decided that this year in our beehive class we will be better at Personal Progress. I am calling it PP&J (Personal Progress and Jammies) So, each month, one of our class activities will be working on one of the value experiences together as a class.
As so many have done before... the girls will come to my house in their pajamas and I will have yummy treats for them to snack on while we work on passing off a value experience.
This month, we will obviously start with Faith.
Value Experience #6:
Increase your understanding of the plan of salvation. Resources for study include 2 Nephi 9:128, 2 Nephi 11:47, Moses 4:14, Revelation 12:79, D&C 76:50113, D&C 93:3334, Abraham 3:2427, and 1 Corinthians 15:22. Draw or obtain a picture that depicts the plan of salvation, including the premortal existence, birth, mortal life, death, judgment, and life after judgment. Using this picture, explain the plan of salvation to your class, your family, or a friend. Discuss how knowledge of the plan affects your actions.
TOGETHER: The girls will cut out and laminate their own set of the Plan of Salvation. I will teach them the plan of salvation, so they can go home and teach it for one of their family home evenings. If we have time, we will start looking up and discussing the scriptures assigned.
ON THEIR OWN: They will finish reading the scriptures and plan and give a FHE on the Plan of Salvation.
JOURNALING: Answer the question "how does the knowledge of the plan of salvation affect your actions?"
SIGN-OFF: Report back to me about the FHE and show me the answer to the question.

How much fun would it be to have this hanging on the way in your house? I am in love with it and seriously thinking about buying it. It is a real phone and the best part it is on sale, so it is affordable. I have to get my husband on board, but this thing is so darn cute!
Instead of reinventing the wheel, I decided to use a lesson I did last year, that teaches the girls to come to know their Savior. I felt it fit perfectly with what the lesson is trying to teach.
But this time, instead of making the little books, I had a bunch of notebooks I had picked up from Michaels over a year ago. So, I decided to give these little guys away.
Also, I gave the girls an opportunity to use the scriptures and notebook as a way to complete a Personal Progress Value Experience. If they read each scripture and write in their notebook, I will sign off a value experience under Faith.
How is that for multi-tasking :-)
Oh, and sorry about the picture... I took it from my iphone with hand one while balancing something in the other hand, hence the blurriness.
I haven't been very good at keeping my kids journals, so I thought I better quickly write down some things that Ella has been up to these past few weeks.
1) Ella now recognizes Mickey Mouse and anytime she sees him, she yells out "Icky".
2) She also loves, loves ducks. Anytime she sees a duck (sign, stuffed animal, book), she yells out "ducky, ducky". I am not kidding, this girl loves ducks.
3) She now knows all the hand motions to "Ball for Baby" and "Popcorn Popping". if we sing these songs, she stops, does the motions with a big smile on her face and claps and shouts at the end of the song.
4) Ella follows and does anything Hannah does. She is definitely her little shadow.
5) Ella likes to turn off and on all the light switches. Not only around our house, but in other buildings too. This little activity can keep her quite busy.
6) Anytime she sees an animal, she always goes "hi. hi." in this squeaky, sweet voice. It doesn't matter if it is on t.v., a book or in real life. She particularly likes cats and dogs.
When we were out walking Chrismtas lights, we walked past a family with a dog and Ella was right up to it saying "hi", while Hannah was across the street scared as can be.
Every since we moved into this new house, there are several big ticket items that I have been waiting to purchase. It is a long list and one that will take a while to complete (I probably won't complete it while in this house). But one item on the list is a china cabinet.
This is an item that I always think of for older established families and I guess we have hit that mark. We received beautiful china from Denmark from my in-laws a couple of years back and they have been sitting in the garage in a box. I have been wanting a place to display them which is why a china cabinet has been top on the list. (thanks to Overstock.com and $2.95 shipping for this big, heavy piece of furniture, I was able to finally get one).
Well, it is being delivered today. I am so excited and feel so grown up. Here's to one more item off the list. Now, on to filling to empty formal living room. I guess we aren't that established yet :-)
This year for Christmas, I only made one Christmas gift. Usually, I like to make my gifts (at least for the kids and moms), but this year with the sickness, I was only able to punch out one gift before it all began.
We had to give to two of the boy cousins this year and what better than personal super hero capes. Each boy got a cape that had a Superman logo on one side and their "super inital" on the other side.
They were pretty easy to make and I love that they were personalized. 
I am finally getting to my Christmas pictures. It is taking forever to get back to normal life. Here is a quick recap of our time together and some pictures to show for it.
* The cousins playing hard and non-stop. Ella loved to play in the baby swing. Walker loved to say "Hannah" each morning as he woke up. Hannah loved bossing and smoothering Walker. Dallin loved watching Curious George and Cars and the cousins loved joining him.
* On Christmas morning, Hannah woke up and said "Did Santa come last night and leave presents?" When we said yes, she was so excited as she went down the stairs. On a side note... a few nights later her prayer consisted of "Please bless Santa Claus that he will bring me more presents next year." A little off the spirit of the season, but it was sincere and cute.
* Going to the Butterfly Pavilion and seeing the biggest bugs, spiders and butterflies you have ever seen. We even saw a butterfly emerge from it's cocoon. That brought back elementary day memories.
* Ella and Hannah got princess slippers for Christmas (4 pairs) and the girls would walk around in them all day. It was too much for Walker to take.... he had to wear them around constantly (along with the pretty pink satin gloves). Let's just say his dad was glad to get him home to more rugged, manly things.
* Having fun with so many babies. We had 3 grandbabies from 6 weeks to 5 months. It was so fun to have them lying on the floor all day.
* That is it for now. I am waiting for my sisters to do their recap. They are much better at this than I am... hint, hint.
Taking a step back before the holiday hub-bub. My family was together in SLC in October, we went on a great hike up Brighton Ski Resort. Well, I have to share some pictures from the hike. I love them and had to share.
Oh, all the photos were taken by my dad except the one of him and my mom (I took that one).
So, the new year is up and running... and now that we are back home, I am trying to get my life back in order.... laundry, shopping, unpacking, finding places for new toys, packing up decorations, etc.
But until I get my life in order, i thought I would share this cute little project for kids to help them with colors... it is super easy, fun and oh, so cute.
