Summer Blockbusters during the Holidays

Before I had kids, I had to see movies on opening night. If I missed opening night, I would probably just wait and see it when it came out on video (not sure why), but now with kids in our lives, we are lucky if we see them at all. We signed up for Blockbuster online, so that has helped (because we can keep the movies for weeks or months, so they are there whenever we might find the time to watch one). But, this summer there are so many movies that have come out, that I would love to see regardless of whether I have missed opening night. Top on my list is The Bourne Ultimatum - seriously, I haven't wanted to see a movie this bad in a long time. And then there are 8 others. I don't know about getting out to see them with a new baby, but come the holidays (Nov and Dec), we will be very busy watching all the summer blockbusters!

More Pics at This is the Place

Here are some pictures from This is the Place Heritage Park. Hope you are enjoying all these pictures... there are many more to come.

Thing-a-Ma-Jigs

I came across this site called Perpetual Kid. It has some pretty fun and clever products. There were so many that I thought I would share some of my favorites just for fun.

1) Tattoo Bandages. You can be rebellious without being rebellious. These will make you look tough, but under it all, you are really a softie - you are wearing a band-aid after all.
2) A stapleless Stapler... so clever. I love this idea. I usually just fold the corners a couple of times of the pieces of paper I want to keep together, but this is so much better.
3) The I Love You Toast Stamp. How cute to give your hubby or kids a nice little message each morning before they head out the door.
4) This hilarious Yoda backpack. Just imagine your kid can look and have the FORCE with him as he carries around this awesome backpack.

I'm So Excited

Yeah, for me! I have finally accomplished something I have wanted to do forever (as far as photography goes). I love when people do photo shoots where their subjects are in front of a white background. I love the crisp clean look of a black and white picture with a white background. I have never been able to get it to work until now. I am still not quite sure how I did it, but nonetheless, I did! I am so excited and I am in love with these pictures. Now, I just have to see if I can duplicate it all over again in the future.

Remembering the Pioneers

Train ride around the park.

Horse rides.

Waiting for the train to stop.

Playing in a minature size red fire house.

These pictures are from "This is the Place" Heritage Park. It was so much fun to run around and see how life was for the pioneers in the 1800's. As you will see in these and other pictures to come, there is so much for the kids to do.

Swimming Pics

Here are some pictures of everyone at the pool. Pool pictures are hard for me. With the direct sunlight, reflection of the pool, lots of movement, etc, so although these aren't technically great, they are still are great to me as they capture the fun we all had.

Lucky Duck Baby Shower

I threw a shower the other night for a friend of mine. I don't have pictures of her, but after 2 weeks she looks great, almost couldn't tell she had a baby. Oh, to have such luck. I think the party turned out pretty darn cute. Here are some pictures of the details of the event. And I want to thank everyone that helped out... Thanks so much!

Here we go.

Here are the first of the pictures from my trip. These pictures were taken at Wheeler Farm. It is a fun working farm with rides and interactive areas for kids. This is our first day, we had just arrived and just like that the fun began.
