Cute Things from Hannah

Hannah has been saying so many cute things these days, that I have to share and get them down. Here are just a few...

1) Lately, she has been saying "dad, you are a good man" or "mommy, I really like you" or "mom, you are a good woman." The compliments keep pouring out of her mouth.

2) She plays peek-a-boo with Ella and says "boom sha-ka-la-ka, boom sha-ka-la-ka" and always calls her "baby girl"

3) She tells everyone that she is "three and will be starting preschool in two weeks" (but really it is now next week).

4) We read our scriptures every morning and whenever I get out the Book of Mormon and start to read, she says "And it came to pass..." she picks up pattern recognition quickly ;-)

5) Every day when dad comes home from work, she gives him a play by play of what we did that day. She lists off all the places we went and what we did.

6) We have two grocery store we go to frequently. The first one is Food for Less and the second is Savemart. She calls them the yellow grocery store (Food for Less) and the Red grocery store (Savemart). This is based off of their logos - get it .... one is yellow and one is red.

Farm Pics cont'd

This one was taken by my husband - not bad huh?

Here are the last of the pictures i took at the farm in Ephraim. Enjoy!

Handmade Logos

It is funny, how things happen all at once. The last month or so, I have been asked to make logos for some people (and a new one for me). So, I thought I would share with you the logos I created. One is for a home building company and the other is for a photographer and of course mine. I have to say logo are really fun to make.... I could really get into this.

My Favorite Tree

On our family farm in Ephraim, there is a great tree. It is perfect for climbing... it isn't too high, the branches are super wide and there are enough of them to help a child climb. So, of course while all the kids were climbing on it, I had to get pictures. So, here are some picture of all the cousins on my favorite tree.

PS - For anyone out there reading this that can help.... the skin color on these pictures are all off. On my screen in Photoshop it is perfect, but once I post it online, the color is all wrong. Anyone know what it going on?

To Dream the Impossible Dream

This month's issue of Martha Stewart Living showcases her new craft room.... oh, my goodness. Like everything she does, it is a dream room that has thought of everything. So, much room and so organized... my kind of place.

She has 5-6 different tables for different projects (sewing, paper crafts, embroidery, etc). So, she doesn't have to put projects away, she can keep them out and go to another table to work on a new project. Genius and what a luxury! Everything has its place and she has an archive area that is to die for.

I would say someday this too could be mine, but not likely... it is amazing, but I don't think normal people can justify such lavish craft rooms. I would be happy with my own 10 X10 room and one table and chair :-)

Who Can Dance?

I love this show, So You Think You Can Dance? I am sad it is coming to an end. Tonight is the results show and Wed and Thurs are the season finale. So, I thought I would make my own prediction. I think the final girl will be Sabra (it better be), but the final boy is a hard one - I think either Neil or Danny. Danny is definitely the better dancer, but I am not sure about likeability... but Neil definitely has likeability down. And to make my prediction of the final winner .... I would hope Sabra, but since boys usually win this show.... I will say Danny. there you have it... Thursday night we will see if I am right.

What would happen...

if you let 250,000 bouncing rubber balls go down the hills of San Francisco? Well, I have got your answer. Watch this.

This is a commercial for Sony Bravia TV that just made my list of favorite videos. It is so captivating and just brings a smile to my face. I love the song too, ‘Heartbeats’, performed by José González.

I suggest watching it by clicking this link here, it ten times better viewed in high quality... it really is such a great video/commerical. Hannah and I watch it daily!

Ephraim Pictures

During our trip to Utah, we headed down to Ephraim, Utah for 2 days. Ephraim is a nice, small college town in the middle of the state. And I mean small...I don't think there are any stop lights. They do have a great malt shop and a great pizza joint and we stay at the family home with a great porch that you can sit on and watch the town go by. Also, in Ephraim is a family homstead and farm. We spent the afternoon there one day and the kids had a blast. My sister-in-law set up some games (treasure hunt and money in the haystack) for them to play that made the day a day to remember. Here are the first of many pictures to come of our time in Ephraim.

Getting Started

I have been collecting different items for several different projects I want to complete. And lately, there have been more projects popping up all around me, so I decided instead of having all these projects I haven't started, I better get some completed before I start thinking about any more. So, here are the first set of projects I will be making. One is a skirt for Hannah and then three cute banners (one of which my sister completed just last week and got me even more motivated to complete mine). The scallop banner will say "Celebrate", the circle banner I am going to make two - one in pink and one in blue that say "congratulations" to be used at baby showers and the last one will just be a plain pendant banner to be used for whatever. Can't wait to see how long they take to complete and if they are as cute as I think.

Moving On with the Photos

We have left This is the Place Park and now have some random photos from the trip... Can I just say I love photos, they are so fun to look at, capture and preserve memories so well and are easy, just a simple click!
