Our Jake

I keep meaning to take a photo shoot of Jake as a newborn... but I don't really have it in me and I don't really know how to do it. I am afraid of him being naked and pee-ing all over the place, so I am kind of avoiding it. But I really need to do it and do it soon before he doesn't sleep all day. Any suggestions? Until then, here are a few photos of our little guy. He has so many faces... but I guess that is a newborn for you.

I wish I would have known...I could have taken some. I was visiting Heather on Tuesday and Wednesday.
When Chase was little I took my backdrop and threw it on the couch by the window and did mine. I was so tired and recovering from c-section so I didn't want to pull everything out. They turned out great.
Good luck! =)
I love babies!!!!!
He is adorable! I love, love, love his double chin. Recovering from a c-section is so hard. I'm really impressed that your blogging (and so frequently) with a new little one. I can't seem to get my life back to normal after having my little sweetheart in February!
I attempted to take pictures of my baby for her birth announcements...it was a challenge, but hilarious. She pooped on the floor and while my two oldest kids were cloroxing the floor, she peed all over my sons head! Luckily, I set up the shoot on the kitchen table, as it was high and I didn't have to bend that much. Therefore, the tile was easy to clean.
Anyway, I came across this article and thought it might help. The samples are georgous!

Anyway, good luck! I'm sure they will turn out great:o)
Congratulations on the baby! I never got to thank you or tell you about our Mother/Daughter Activity. We went with "Purse"verance as the theme. We made cute purse invitations for all the girls. We gave the girls canvas bags from hobby lobby to use as a scripture bag. We sprused the purses up with a flower pin...we had the girls make the pins at the activity night beforehand and had them make one for Mom too! I forgot to take pictures...shame on me! I do have a few invites and my daughters purse that I could take a picture of. Our speaker was fabulous on helping the girls to think about what is easy or hard for them to do. She gave them tips how to pursevere through the things that are hard. Thanks Again.
Check out a friend of mines blog at http://smithphotodesign.blogspot.com/2009/06/more-baby-models-in-studio.html as her father-in-law is making some great clothing for newborn shoots that might give you some inspiration!
