Favorite Things - December Activity Days

For the month of December's Activity Day activity, we decided to have a little fun.  We did a

Favorite things party.  Each girl was asked to bring 3 (all the same) of their favorite thing.  

Here are the invitations I created for the activity. Attached I included a "favorite's thing" survey that each girl was supposed to fill out and bring that night. 

We went around and had each girl share their answers from the survey.  So, we could each learn about their favorite things.

Then if you have never been to a "favorite things" party.  You assign each girl a number and you have each girl but their number in a bag three times.  Then you go around the circle and have each girl pick out a number (you go around three times) and whatever number they pick, the girl assigned to that number gives them one of their gifts.  We then had them open them up, so the girl could explain why it was their favorite thing.

Then we had a little Christmas craft for the girls to do.  I got clear glass ornaments and had the girls put fake snow, some glitter pieces and red confetti in the ornament with a picture of the Savior kissing the forehead of a little girl.  Then we attached a tag that said "You are his favorite" and tied it up with a bow.

I explained to the girls, that each of them are Jesus' favorite thing, that is why he atoned for our sins and died on the cross.  Because we are his favorite!

Lastly, we had each girl bring their favorite treats and they all got to get a plate full of treats to eat or take home with them.
