Honey, here's some WOOD

Today is our 5 year wedding anniversary. And did you know (I bet you did) that the gift to give is WOOD. "happy anniversary honey, I bought you some wood". I don't know why I just think it is so funny, but it is better than paper (unless it comes in the form of money). Well, luckily I married my dear husband because of the man he is and not for the gifts.
Some fun and important things have happened in 5 years, let's recount.
1) A lot of travel our first year of marriage. Our first trip together was on our honeymoon to St. Lucia. Then it was to Tonga and New Zealand with my family (welcome to the family)! And then we headed to Italy while I was 7 months pregnant, our (last trip before the kids started coming)!
2) Had baby #1
3) Moved from Boston, Massachusetts to hot, hot, hot California. Quite the change in climate, mentality, culture and accessibility to things. We went from very cold winters, to very hot summers. From political correctness about everything to "well, let's just say not so much". From museums, historical sites and colleges on every corner to orchards, developments, and a lot of primary educational schools on every corner. From New Hampshire, Vermont, Maine and Rhode Island all within a couple of hours from us to the beach, Yosemite, Sequoia National Park and LA and San Fran all within a few hours of us.
4) Both parents getting called to be mission presidents (for our church) within a year of each other. Both gone for 3 years at a time. We came back west excited to be closer to family and both our parents went east and abroad ending up further away from us.
5) Many trips to Denmark to visit Chris' parents and enjoy the room and board and personal tour guides. It was so much fun!
6) Had baby #2.
and here we are, 5 years later. Loving every minute of our marriage and feeling truly so blessed to have found such a wonderful man to share all this with. He really is all that I had hoped for (and waited for) in a husband and can't wait to see where our lives take us and what comes in the next 5 years (and the next 10, 20, 50) years). I love you Chris!

Happy Anniversary! Maybe you can whittle Chris a scrabble board and tiles before he gets home from work as an anniversary gift. :) Have a great day celebrating.
Congrats! We celebrated our 5 year this year too (in June)! And 2 kids later we are still loving life! I meant to ask you a while back when you posted some business logos you had created what programs you use. I just created a logo for my brothers business and am working on one for my brother in law--it is addiciting! I loved yours--they look so professional!! Thanks!
I am using photoshop CS... it is pretty fun, thanks for the compliment.
