Oh, how we miss
Not that we need to be thinking about chocolate so soon after the holidays. I of course have my weight lose resolution going full force, but being winter and all, I can't help but remember this little dessert cafe in Boston that Chris and I used to frequent called Finale. It was this great chic little restaurant mostly known for its wine and coffee but for us it was their desserts. We would go often to work our way through their dessert menu. Our favorite was their molten lava cake and their creme brulee.
This winter, we are missing our little decadent getaway. Just look at these pictures. And believe me they are just as good as they look... actually even better. But there is one glimmer of hope when it comes to molten lava cakes ... we have a Flemings in town and their lava cake is to DIE for. I think it could possible be the best I have had. So, once I have lost my desired "l.b."s., I will celebrate my victory with a yummy lava cake... just because I can.

I'm not sure if you have ever been to The Melting Pot (they have one in Sacramento and some in the LA area). Their dessert was to DIE for. The Melting Pot is a fondue restaurant. The food is amazing too but the dessert was the best part. They bring you different goodies to dip into your chocolate of choice. We got a Smores chocolate and raspberry chocolate to dip our in and it was AWESOME! The Smores was my favorite!
SO, if you ever have a chance to visit one, do it! They are a little pricey but SO worth EVERY penny!
I love Finale's creme brulee. It's my very favorite!
I used to work upstairs from FInale and we would have all our work meetings there. Dave and I visited a few times too. We went on our nostalgia trip to Beantown last December. V.v.v. fun
