Activity Day - Articles of Faith Egg Hunt

Tonight I had my girls go on an Easter Egg Hunt. They were hunting for candy eggs and Articles of Faith eggs. I have six girls and so I got 36 plastic eggs. I printed out the articles of faith and cut them up into "somewhat short" segments. I stuck several segments into half of the eggs and put candy in the other half of the eggs and then hid them around the church building.

I told there girls to go find all the eggs and when they got back, we would go and split into two teams. We placed all the AofF segment strips into a pile (and then they got to keep the candy to eat) and which ever team could put together the most AofF the quickest would win.

the girls had a blast on the hunt and really enjoyed the competition of putting together the Articles of Faith. And they did a great job.

very cute! we are doing something similar this friday too.....and easter egg service scavenger hunt. three teams start out with one egg and with an address in it, they have to go to the address (members house) where they are given 3-4 chores for the family to do, and when they are done they get another egg (like a clue from the amazing race) with another address to go do the same thing....each team has 5 houses. whoever makes it back to the church first wins, and we close the lesson with easter eggs filled with candy and talk about the service we did. thanks for posting all your great stuff on here and also the cool handouts you make....you should make a file on your blog for those paper so we can print them out more easily.....you rock! so glad i found your site!

I'm new to Activity Days, as my oldest just turned 8. Our ward schedules their activity days right after early out on Wed. Because my daughter attends a different school that has a Fri. early out (and the A.D. leader won't accommodate her even though they only have 1 or 2 girls show up!), she misses out on all the activities. I'm so happy to have found your site so I can work on it with her myself, and she won't feel so bad about missing out on things. I'm totally adding you to my blogroll! Thanks!
